yes i know

It has been way too long since Ive blogged, but a lot has been going on. Friday will be my last day of work, I can't believe my first year is over! I love my student and all the people I work with. I am sad this year is coming to an end. It was an awesome year and I hope the rest are like this.

In wedding news we finally booked the honeymoon. I can not wait to wake up and be here:That is a picture of our resort. How beautiful! I also can not wait for the shopping =) It will be nice to have the wedding then have this place to relax at. We are only about 100 days out!! We still have a ton to do, but I think I will miss the planning when its all over. Thank goodness I still have single friend that I can help with their weddings =)

A few months ago I joined the site goodreads.com. Now it wasn't until this past fall I really got into reading books. It started with The Notebook, I always heard the book was better than the movie so I wanted to see if it was true which it was =). Anyway once I started my interpreting job at the school I had a lot of down time, like when my student takes tests or has a sub, etc. So I joined that site so I could read reviews of other books. I was updating my gr's page last night and I realized I have read over 20 books! Now to some people that might not seem like that many in a 7 month time span but for someone who never read a book in high school, and used cliff notes in college I am quite proud of this.

I am very excited for Emily Giffin's new book to come out May 13th! I loved her other three books.Oh and 1 month till the best day on earth..aka my birthday
and 5 months till the day I have been most looking forward too, our wedding day!!

And pray for no rain this Friday 4/11..its the day we are getting engagement pics!!

My first IKEA experience..and then some

And boy was it an experience! We went this past Saturday. It was a mad house. I have never seen so many people in one store at one time! The store is huge!! I think I got lost a few times haha. So we spent about 2.5 hours at the store and we didn't even get through the whole top level! I had to work at 4 so we had to cut our trip short. I did end up getting a table, chair, lamp, shelf, picture frame, and bucket all for $100! It will go in my 'craft' room. Thanks to Andy for setting it all up for me=)

Also in other exciting news I have decided on a bridesmaid dress! Finally right! It is the one I originally liked. It just looked great on all the girls. I can't wait till they come in! Here is the dress on one of my bridesmaids Mollie:(it is strapless so ignore the straps) Barri Jay style #522

We also bought the groomsmen's suits as well. It was actually cheaper to buy them than to rent them. Plus a khaki suit will always come in handy. This is the picture from the website. Now we are working on finding some cool ties in brown. They are from JoS. A. Bank $125 each!! org. $300

Since I was on break from work this week I am happy I got some wedding stuff done! Next on the list, making the invites!

Who is that girl??

What much is there to say? With planning the wedding I have come across some wonderful blogs that have helped me though the planning. I also have come across some blogs about decoration the house and ways to save money. That got me thinking, I'm a good shopper, I save lots of money why not share it with other people that can possibly get ideas from me.

A little about myself. I am a sign language interpreter at a school. I also have a part time job at a department store (mostly for the discount and to not be bored!). I am getting married on September 6, 2008 to the most perfect man, Andy. We have a crazy, cute kitten named Carson-after Carson Palmer (think we like the Bengals?! WHO DEY!). I am looking forward to posting all about my savings and my life.
