WHODEY!!

YEEEA BENGALS!!
We beat the Steelers 23-20 in a nail bitting last drive play. The Bengals are good at keeping us on our toes till the very last second of the game. Gosh, it feels good to beat the Steelers. I'm also loving the fact that we are 2-1 and they are 1-2. I'm looking forward to another big W next game vs the Browns.

"Who dey! Who dey! Who dey think gonna beat dem Bengals?"
"NOOOOOBODY!"

Remembered Joy

Today we lost A's grandma, known to us as Apple. This was unexpected and a total shock. We love you Apple and miss you!  I'm so thankful to have known you. I always enjoyed your stories and your laugh. You will be missed!

Remembered Joy

Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free!
I follow the plan God laid for me.
I saw His face, I heard His call,
I took His hand and left it all…
I could not stay another day,
To love, to laugh, to work or play;
Tasks left undone must stay that way.
And if my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss…
Ah yes, these things I, too, shall miss.
My life’s been full, I’ve savoured much:
Good times, good friends, a loved-one’s touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief—
Don’t shorten yours with undue grief.
Be not burdened with tears of sorrow,
Enjoy the sunshine of the morrow.

Fall decor part 1

First off I want to say I'm super sad the Bengals lost today =( We had the game and then in the last 30 seconds we lost it. Hopefully this doesn't set the tune of this season...
You can tell we weren't too happy..
On to the reason for the post! This weekend A & I decorated the house for fall. We went shopping around on Saturday for so new stuff, and we dug out the old stuff. I'm so lucky I get to drag him around to all the stores. Here is our dinning room.
I made this wreath last year.
We went out and got the wooden box at a new store that just opened up. The pumpkins are from Pier One, and we bought the berries last  year.
This is one of the vases from the wedding. I got a new orange candle from Home Goods, and the filler I got at Target in the clearance last year (only $.96!)
This is my favorite area! I bought the pumpkins from an older couple that hand makes craft for Canal Days in Metamora, IN. The berries again from last years Target clearance, and I got the cute little pumpkin man from Home Goods today.
I had a coupon for White Barn candles in the summer and I bought these fall scents. I love to burn the apple one.
These are the glitter pumpkins I made last year. I love how they look in the stick basket.
Lastly I bought this yesterday at Hobby Lobby. All of their fall decor was 40% off already.
In a few weeks I am going to Metemora, IN-where I am hoping to find lots of goodies, which is where part 2 comes in. Hope you enjoyed! I love to decorate for fall!

How we celebrated

So remember how I talked about my craft room. Well, Saturday I came home to find Andy painted it for me.I am in love with the color and how its turning out. I don't have a recent before pic but here is how it looked when we moved in 2 years ago:
And here it is painted! I am so in love with the colors. I want to do accents in lime green. He is so awesome for getting me started on my redo!
The door on the left is the door to the room and on the right is for storage. I always feel like I'm in a scene from Alice in Wonderland.=)
So that was Andy's surprise to me for our anniversary. Mine to him was a couples massage. For the record, I suck at keeping things from him. I'm so happy that he didn't get it out of me and he was truly surprised when we pulled into the spa. It was his first massage, and I think I got him hooked! It was a nice way to start out our anniversary.
Later in the day it was off to dinner here:

He is so sweet and got me this necklace

Its the Joyful Heart Foundation necklace from designer me and ro
(the wrong one got sent in so I have to wait another week to get it)
After dinner we went home to eat some of our delicious cake. We didn't get to eat any on our wedding day (except for smashing) and all we've heard since the wedding was how yummy our cake was. Needless to say we couldn't wait to eat some! After the cake we went to A's cousins to enjoy a fire and drinks!

One year

Just one year ago I married the man of my dreams. Its hard to believe one year has already passed us by. I am so thankful to have Andy as my husband. He truly makes me whole and I'm so lucky to have him in my life. Yesterday he painted my craft room for me, which I will show in tomorrows post anniversary post.
I look forward to many more anniversarys together!
