2010 Goals (check-in #2)

The goal I am talking about today is my getting fit goal. I have been going to the gym 4 days a week for 10 weeks now. I have been thinking about doing a 5k. The other day, (when it was 70* out!!) I decided to go for a run. I had a route in the summer that I'd run/walk. I remember getting to a point where I would tell myself I could walk. I would never run the full thing. So I loaded my phone up with songs and headed out. I was feeling good, never was out of breath, and best of all I never walked! I ran 2.7 miles! I was so proud of myself! I remembered to time myself and I ran it in 24 minutes. 
I talked to a friend of mine who had been running 5k's lately and we signed up for one in April! I can't wait! Now if only this rain would go away so I can get back out there!

Congrats! I have a 5K coming up in May and I have only run twice since my last race in Sept., but I have been working out a lot so I hope my endurance is still strong. Good luck with your race!
