Big test day

Today I have my national interpreters test! I have been studying for the past month and I still don't feel prepared! I am nervous but ready to get this test over with. After I  pass this I have up to 5 years to take the performance part of the test. Good thoughts would be appreciated =)

***EDIT*** I PASSED!!!! and it feels so good :)

6 months

I meant to post this yesterday but I forgot. Yesterday marked the 6 month Andy & I have been married! Normally we don't count the months but this one means were half way to our one year anniversary (where we finally get to eat some wedding cake!). 

Today is going to be a beautiful 72 degree day! Just last weekend it was in the 30's and I had my winter coat. This weekend I'll be in capri's and flip flops! I love it and I hope that means spring is here! Today Andy & I might head to the driving range to hit some golf balls and then we are going to my brothers for a grill out and a fire. I think its going to be a nice weekend.

A congrats is in order for my cousin Adam and his wife Kristen. Their daughter Ava was born on Monday the 16th coming in at 6lbs 14oz and 19 inches long. She is absolutely adorable! It seems like yesterday Kristen was only 4 months along and it was my wedding-we had to keep going back to the seamstress to let the dress out!

The 14th Amazing Race is starting tonight! I love this show. I am super excited to see a Deaf man on this season!(if you don't know I am an American Sign Language interpreter) I am rooting for them!

Quick week

This week sure did fly by. It probably helps I did have a day off work on Wednesday (yay for snow days). We have a busy weekend. I am pumped for today. Andy & I get our new cell phones. Gotta love Verizons deal where you get a new phone every 2 years. Both of us are getting the LG Dare and I am so excited. I know, I know its just a cell phone, but its exciting to get a new one! Here is the phone. 

On Saturday Andy's parents are throwing a going away party for Andy's brother. He leaves Feburary 9th for the Marines.  I'm proud of him. I think this is the best thing for him right now.  I'll be sure to post pics of the party. Here is Andy with Cody

What a weekend...

This weekend our buddy Bobby had people over for the Superbowl. Before the game started we had to get the Rockband out. Now I may not have a great singing voice, but I love this game. 

I made a great pineapple salsa. I got the recipe from another blogger. I served it with blue chips and plantain chips. It was delicious! I also made football shaped brownies that didn't turn out like I wanted but they still got gobbled up!

Since moving into our house way back in Oct '07 we slowly have been painting every room. The people we bought the house from used a cheap paint though out the whole house which was boring. This weekend Andy & I picked out a foyer color (which was kind of tough!) and then Andy painted it on Saturday. It came out really nice and flows with the dining room color. All that's left is his office and my craft room. 

Now we just need to finish the door!
